An internationally-renowned makeup artist and experienced educator, Napoleon Perdis launched the Napoleon Perdis Makeup Academy in 1992 on Sydney’s vibrant Oxford Street with the vision of inspiring, educating and supporting the next generation of makeup artistry talent. Seeking to democratise makeup ever since picking up his first makeup brush at the age of 13 to help his mother prepare for an event, Napoleon opened his first concept store in Sydney’s Paddington in 1995, boasting a full cosmetics collection. Vivid, vivacious colour soon became his trademark and Napoleon’s reputation propelled him into editorial work for magazines, television and international red carpet events, in turn making him a regular household name and allowing him to spread his glamour gospel and makeup trends worldwide - and who doesn’t know his famous quote ‘Not to Prime is a Crime!’. Since its founding, theNapoleon Perdis Makeup Academy has had over 25,000 budding makeup artists pass through its doors and offers future beauty enthusiasts a rigorous education program strongly emphasising makeup education as its foundation – an homage to the brand’s original founder.
